Himitsu Bako

CLICK FOR MORE INFO – The main body of this urn is figured bubinga with African blackwood highlights. Figured bubinga is a wood native to the west coast of Africa, and is very similar to rosewood. The wood is very hard, has lustrous figure patterns in purple and charcoal against a rich reddish background. This urn includes two boxes – the upper main body for ashes and a matching lower body for keepsake items.

Himitsu Bako is the Japanese word for a puzzle box. This urn has a simple but discrete locking mechanism in the handle and has two locking pins that hold the keepsake box in place.

Finished with tung oil, hand rubbed poly and beeswax. Outside dimensions (including keepsake box) are 11.5″ (h) X 6.5″ X 6.5″. Inside dimensions for cremation remains 5″ X 5″ X 7″. 175 cu. in. (approx.). Inside dimensions for keepsake box 1.5″ (h) X 4.5″ X 4.5″
