Cedar shou sugi ban series

Shou sugi ban is a Japanese technique of preserving wood through burning. These boxes are made from Bruce Peninsula cedar and the burning of the wood provides for a sensual texture of the wood grain. Inside of the box is finished with clear polyeurathane. Handles are all found shore pieces.
